Santiago Roballo uses long exposures, movement, and carefully controlled lighting to manipulate and transform the subjects he captures. His photography explores the idea of a state between states; the transitional flux bridging existence and non-existence, the familiar and the strange. “BARDO” is the collection of his two ongoing series: “Pareidolia & Fugue” and “Détourned Objects.” These uncanny pieces offer a glimpse into a liminal space where objects and faces become temporal artifacts that defy logic and reason. Santiago Roballo lives and works in Mississauga where he continues to experiment with unconventional photographic techniques. He can be contacted by email at <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
